m='25560'>computer</span> <span m='25990'>most</span> <span m='26310'>of</span> <span m='26390'>the</span> <span m='26470'>day,</span> <span m='27020'>lots</span> <span m='27290'>of</span> <span m='28120'>programming.</span> <span m='28930'>Well,</span> <span m='29295'>I</span> <span m='29660'>studied</span> <span m='29910'>physics</span> <span m='30530'>in</span> <span m='30650'>college.</span> <span m='31530'>And</span> <span m='31950'>I've</span> <span m='32070'>always</span> <span m='32409'>been</span> <span m='32619'>very</span> <span m='32870'>interested</span> <span m='33320'>in</span> <span m='34110'>biology.</span> <span m='35230'>And</span> <span m='35390'>so,</span> <span m='35570'>basically,</span> <span m='36080'>this</span> <span m='36290'>was</span> <span m='36440'>an</span> <span m='36520'>easy</span> <span m='36770'>way</span> <span m='37050'>to</span> <span m='37210'>mix</span> <span m='37490'>the</span> <span m='37590'>two.</span> </p><p><span m='42550'>A</span> <span m='42650'>lot</span> <span m='42870'>of</span> <span m='42940'>people,</span> <span m='43280'>actually,</span> <span m='44230'>are</span> <span m='44320'>starting</span> <span m='44620'>to</span> <span m='44720'>mix the</span> <span m='45060'>two</span> <span m='45260'>as</span> <span m='46107'>physics</span> <span m='46534'>becomes</span> <span m='46961'>more</span> <span m='47390'>applicable</span> <span m='47590'>to</span> <span m='48140'>biology</span> <span m='49000'>and</span> <span m='49130'>stuff.</span> <span m='51060'>Really,</span> <span m='51340'>yeah,</span> <span m='51720'>it</span> <span m='51840'>was</span> <span m='51990'>really</span> <span m='52260'>kind</span> <span m='52420'>of</span> <span m='52500'>a</span> <span m='52540'>no-brainer</span> <span m='53020'>for</span> <span m='53140'>me.</span> <span m='53610'>I</span> <span m='53730'>just</span> <span m='54440'>found</span> <span m='55390'>the</span> <span m='55490'>tools</span> <span m='56980'>that</span> <span m='57400'>I</span> <span m='57520'>know</span> <span m='57740'>how</span> <span m='57870'>to</span> <span m='57950'>use</span> <span m='58290'>from</span> <span m='59525'>learning them</span> <span m='60010'>in college</span> <span m='60495'>and such</span> <span m='60980'>and then</span> <span m='61465'>applying them</span> <span m='61950'>to</span> <span m='62435'>biology.</span> </p><p><span m='63060'>I'm a</span> <span m='63420'>graduate</span> <span m='63860'>student.</span> <span m='64280'>So</span> <span m='64970'>I</span> <span m='65060'>had</span> <span m='65310'>to</span> <span m='65960'>go</span> <span m='66150'>through</span> <span m='66920'>a</span> <span m='67090'>long</span> <span m='67320'>process</span> <span m='67890'>after--</span> <span m='68410'>application</span> <span m='69170'>process</span> <span m='69610'>and</span> <span m='69700'>stuff--</span> <span m='69980'>after</span> <span m='70420'>college</span> <span m='71220'>to get</span> <span m='71716'>into a</span> <span m='72212'>PhD</span> <span m='72708'>program.</span> <span m='73204'>And</span> <span m='73700'>so,</span> <span m='74810'>basically,</span> <span m='75115'>if you're</span> <span m='75420'>going</span> <span m='75785'>to</span> <span m='76760'>what</span> <span m='76960'>to</span> <span m='77500'>pursue</span> <span m='77640'>something</span> <span m='77950'>in</span> <span m='78070'>science,</span> <span m='78790'>you</span> <span m='78940'>need</span> <span m='79110'>to</span> <span m='79180'>take</span> <span m='79390'>a</span> <span m='79450'>lot</span> <span m='79660'>of</span> <span m='79760'>time</span> <span m='82770'>for</span> <span m='83360'>learning</span> <span m='83780'>and for</span> <span m='84260'>preparing</span> <span m='84780'>yourself</span> <span m='85180'>to</span> <span m='85320'>do</span> <span m='85630'>independent</span> <span m='85770'>research.</span> </p><p><span m='86950'>My</span> <span m='87210'>advice</span> <span m='88060'>would</span> <span m='88380'>be,</span> <span m='88810'>basically,</span> <span m='89890'>to</span> <span m='91050'>have</span> <span m='91220'>confidence</span> <span m='91750'>in</span> <span m='91830'>yourself</span> <span m='92350'>and</span> <span m='92670'>your</span> <span m='92800'>ability</span> <span m='93190'>to</span> <span m='93280'>make</span> <span m='93510'>choices.</span> <span m='94536'>Like I said,</span> <span m='96024'>oftentimes,</span> <span m='96520'>there's</span> <span m='97016'>no</span> <span m='97512'>single</span> <span m='98008'>right</span> <span m='98504'>answer.</span> <span m='99000'>And so</span> <span m='99992'>you never</span> <span m='100488'>know</span> <span m='100984'>where</span> <span m='101480'>something's going to</span> <span m='101976'>you.</span> <span m='102472'>So really just</span> <span m='103200'>kind</span> <span m='103360'>of</span> <span m='103450'>embrace</span> <span m='103910'>that</span> <span m='104190'>and then</span> <span m='105060'>make</span> <span m='105250'>the</span> <span m='105330'>best</span> <span m='105600'>out of</span> <span m='105710'>your</span> <span m='105830'>situation</span> <span m='106130'>and</span> <span m='107030'>don't worry</span> <span m='107330'>so</span> <span m='107630'>much.</span>
